David L. Fairchild graduated from Western Illinois University in 2002 with a degree in music education. While at WIU, he was the drum major of the Marching Leathernecks for two years, and he studied the trumpet as his main instrument. He also marched in the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corp color guard in 2000. Since David graduated from WIU, he has been the band director at a couple school districts including District 90 in O’Fallon, IL and West Pike Schools in Kinderhook, IL. He has worked with and directed all grade levels throughout his time as a band director. David has also choreographed for many high school color guards in Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, and Kentucky. He has also judged many marching band contests in Illinois and Kentucky. David currently teaches elementary music in O’Fallon, IL. He still continues to choreograph for high school color guards as well. In his free time, he trains for triathlons and Ironman competitions.
