LIMESTONE AREA SCHOOLS

BAND INSTRUMENT STEP-UP NIGHT

On Tuesday, November 13, 2012, there will be a band instrument “step-up” night for students from all the Limestone area schools in the LCHS Band Room.  This is an opportunity for students to try a variety of intermediate and professional level instruments and for parents to discuss costs, payment options, and other considerations.  This event will be held at the Limestone High School Band Room from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.  This is a great time to consider a better quality instrument with Christmas just around the corner! Our Kidder Music representative, Skip Kasjens, and some directors will be there to answer questions.  There is no obligation to purchase.  It’s a great opportunity for your child to experience trying a better quality instrument and for parents to ask questions and get information.  Yamaha is currently offering rebates on their step-up instruments, so now is a great time to save on any purchases of  Yamaha instruments.  These rebates are in the amount of $50.00 and $100.00, depending on the instrument purchased.  These rebates will continue through December 31.  However, if you make a decision to purchase a Yamaha intermediate or professional level instrument on November 13, Yamaha will double the amount of the rebate you will receive.  In addition, Bach is offering rebates of $100.00 on their Stradivarius trumpet and trombone models.

BENEFITS  OF AN INTERMEDIATE/PROFESSIONAL LEVEL INSTRUMENT

Better tone quality (sound)

Higher quality materials and construction

Encourages continuation of playing

Continued high performance through college and beyond

Please contact Mr. Empey if you plan on attending on November 13 (walk-ins also welcome) or if you have any questions.
